Month in Brief
Nokia embrace Windows 7 Mobile: Nokia have confirmed “Windows Phone will serve as Nokia’s primary smartphone platform.”
Adobe launches a Flash to HTML5 converter: to render your vectorised flash animations natively in HTML5. This allows you to build animations in Flash and run the output direct in the browser, including the iPhone / iPad.
Mobile App Reviews
Garage Band for iPad: GarageBand turns your iPad into a collection of Touch Instruments and a full-featured recording studio — so you can make music anywhere you go. Use Multi-Touch gestures to play pianos, organs, guitars, drums, and basses on your iPad.
Speedball 2 Evolution for iPhone / iPad: A Brutal, Futuristic mixture of Football and Hockey played at Break Neck Speed. The Bitmap Brothers’ classic sports game remade for iOS.
Magnatune for iPhone / iPad: Magnatune has over 800 albums (10,000 songs) you can listen to entirely for free. This app works perfectly over 3G, Edge and Wifi, and the audio is streamed to you as high quality AAC files.
